Cognitive Vitality visits HAWIRA - focus on interdisciplinary collaboration
On June 4, 2025, the Cognitive Vitality research project was delighted to be invited to the 3rd Symposium on Regional General Medicine. The event was hosted by the Department of Primary Care Education and Training in Regional General Medicine (HAWIRA), and clearly demonstrated the great interest in exchange and further development of primary care.
Numerous general physicians and specialists from various healthcare professions gathered to discuss current issues and future models of care. We were pleased to present our Middle Elbe Platform for Experimental Medicine and Technological Interventions, as well as the currently ongoing Multimodal Intervention Program. The patients recruited within the newly established primary care network help to pursue scientific questions and enable the faster translation of scientific findings into medical care.
The symposium offered insight into the complex demands of primary care practice. The focus was on how targeted cooperation can sustainably strengthen patient care. Whether innovative care models or structural challenges in the healthcare system, it was impressively emphasized that close interdisciplinary collaboration is no longer a topic for the future, but is already crucial for high-quality medical care today. We would like to take part in this!
With this event, HAWIRA set a strong signal for professional exchange on equal terms – and for primary care that continues to develop together with other healthcare professions and academia.
